I am searching for the chrome molding that goes over the drip rail above the door.
Does anyone know where to find that?
It's probably not model related but I have difficulties finding it.

Thanks for your help.

What you working on?
1973 Dodge Charger SE converted to a Hardtop.
I have attached a picture of the drip rail. I am searching for a molding that goes over those rail, with cap at the end. I am pretty sure basic generic molding exist for that.
Thanks for your help.

Are you also putting a vinyl top molding? Here's how the 3 moldings match up at the rear quarter window on my 74 Charger. I see these parts pop up once in awhile on various sites. Good luck..

There are two moldings... for cars with and without vinyl top up to drip rails, to accept the vinyl thickness. Of course Halo tops will use the non vinyl drip rail moldings.

Sorry, will need patiente to find those ( any of those ). Just used and they don't float on regularly. There is not enough ppl taking care of those when parting out a car and normally they go to the crusher. So your best bid is get into JunkYards personaly.

On a side note, 71/72 are diff from 73/74. Althought I'm pretty sure it could be modified. The rear end finish on a diff shape.

As Nacho mentioned there's the halo top style drip rails which are a tighter fit. Here's a couple of photos from my Halo top Charger. The drip rails look the same. The c pillar wide molding has been removed on the aztec gold Charger. On my blue Charger, I'm going to glue a piece of vinyl to the drip rail to make the stainless drip rail molding fit tight until I decide if I'm going to install another vinyl top. BTw, what is the easiest way to remove the drip rail molding without damaging it? Anybody have a photo with the tool used?

This shows the driver's side with the c pillar molding/bezel installed and how the drip rail meets up to it.

I want something to look exactly like in your picture.
So do I really need a molding for a 1973 Charger or can I find genric molding to fit the bill?
Oh yeah, no vinyl top for me thank you.

It will require some looking to find the drip rail moldings as Nacho stated. You can make the vinyl top ones fit tight with some vinyl glued to drip rail although mine are snug without it. The 71/72 moldings above may be able to be modified as Nacho suggested to match up to the C- bezel shown in my photos. The length and the shape of the ends are critical as the 71/72 quarter windows are totally different from the 73/74, so you need to check length. Notice in my photos the drip rail ends are beveled to join up to C bezel. Just something to be aware of. I'm not aware of any universal drip rail that would work. you may find someone parting a 73/74 Charger.

Some other hard to find pieces are the sail panel plastic panels which are totally different from the cardboard ones the SE uses. The quarter widow inside sweeps or "cat whiskers " staple to these plastic panels. Right now, the sweeps are hard to get also. Here's a couple of photos to show the plastic panels..

I have a junkyard 2h drive from home and they have a 73 Charger in the yard.
I will probably go and take a look it it and see if I can get those.

Just be aware they are a real pain to remove especially if there's any rust under them. I've got several trim removal tools and I've found that using a 90 degree small pry bar works but you must take it slow. I pry out the bottom of the molding and rotate it up being careful not to kink it. Anyone else have a better way?
