I have a 66 Charger, 383, 727, 3.23 suregrip rear. The car has been converted to 15" wheels. What do I need to do to correct my speedometer?

I checked mine with a Garmin, determined how much off the speedo was, then changed the speedometer gear to correct it. Each tooth on the gear seemed to change it about 1.5 mph.

Your original speedometer probably wasn’t accurate anyway. It seems in my experience they are generally optimistic.

You know the gear ratio all you need to know now is how tall the tire is. Then use the gear chart.

I thought the title was going some place else.

Today one of my co-workers came in and told us that he sat down and watched A Few Good Men last night. And without missing a beat I said We don't really care what bar you went to.

Look at the chart I posted. Not sure if you know where the gear goes but your speedometer cable is connected to it on the driver side of the transmission. Be sure to clock the thing appropriately. The housing that the speedo gear goes into has numbers on it and you have to line them up with the retainer.

Line the number range up to the dot on the transmission.
