Hey everybody, I'm a new member and have been trying to post a question but this is the only place that I've found that will allow me to post. Got a question about electronic ignitiion for a 440 6 pack. Is this the right place (welcome wagon) or should I be somewhere else? Thanks.

Welcome from Alabama, Electrical and Ignition is the proper part of the forum. Get welcomed first and then post your questions in that category.

Welcome to FBBO

you should post it in the proper forum mentioned above

you can get a simple CDI Chrysler Electronic Ignition conversion kit
distributor, CDI control box, coil, appr. ballast, wiring etc.
at most Summit, Mancini Racing or Jegs etc.

www.4secondsflat.com at 'FBO' is a good source
they will curve the distributor for you
they have a great controller too, no need for the ballast
plug & play if you have the wiring already

Rev-N-Nator is another one www.thertgarage.com
good ignition control box

there are better ignition systems
but if you want a stock-ish appearance the Chrysler Electronic are good
I could go on, but go to the proper forum, is best

this is a basic diagram

IMO this is the best, 73 & later style
for the stock-ish to mild performance ignition
the Chrome Box is better
then the orange boxes,
unless you can find or have an old org. Direct Connection era boxes
then the orange boxes are pretty damn good
but DC Chrome Box is even better, more spark dwells, more RPM range etc.
the Gold box is race box only

Welcome. If you can't post in the Ignition forum it's probably because you are too new here. Kick back, get acquainted with the fine folks here and post up some pics of your ride.
