I know this forum is for B bodies but I figure there has to be a lot of Ram truck owners on here. I have a 2014 Ram 2500 5.7 and the 8.4 R4AN nav just started going stupid. I took it to the dealer bc I had to for the tail gate lock recall and had them check out the nav. They told me that it was a hardware problem and I needed to replace the head unit which would cost me something like $880 installed. He then told me that there were "other" systems in the aftermarket that were probably better.
So I have been researching options and it seems to come down to a few

So I have been researching options and it seems to come down to a few
- have my unit refurbished (~$400)
- source a new Mopar unit (~$700)
- get an add on apple car play system (wired or BT) (~$700)
- replace the entire head unit with a new AM system (~$1600)
