My question is what is the real world $$ these cars are actually bringing completely done, with a stock BB build, 4 speed, super stock TYPE interior? rebuilt front end, sure grip, new tires and exhaust. Not really interested is what they bring at BJ/
My car ready for final prime block, seal and topcoat. I then intend to price it at that stage as a roller and if it is not worth what I need, then i will just proceed on and finish. Then maybe keep or let go.
Located n Tx.

You'll never get what you have into it money-wise, forget your labor !!

Non Hemi early B cars are in the $25,000 to maybe mid to high $30,000.Real money
Dealers that can finance may get more.
I follow early B prices on a regular basis.
Done cars regardless wedge engine displacement or transmission.
Rollers can be (without finished paint) in the $6000 to $12000 depending on what it is needing to finish. That's ASKING price.

Old rule of thumb. Take half what you spent on it and don't count your labour. You're getting close.

3/ 65 cars sold on this site for under 22 and they were nice rides. I wanted the one in California 65 polara bad *** car. He started at 33 and sold it for 21. Another member had a 65 super stock 318 poly and it was clean and pretty he dropped it to 18. You just dont know anymore.

65 Polara a C Body. I think the 64 Savoy is the most desirable 2door sedan. I think a really nice car would bring 40k.I have a 65 Belvedere 1 and would gladly pay 15k for a rust free body if I decided to get another one. I agree take 1/2 of what you have in one for value.

Since mid 80s' I have done more than a few nut/bolt restos I admit. Anything from hemis to slants and all in between. Not so much in last decade and those just nothing early A bodies. Cheap toys.
I really figure my car painted with most of interior done at $10-12000 and finished at around $18-20,000 depending the engine. If I sell it at that $12000 mark, I made a little for my body/paint labor and finished at $18000 nothing for the rest of my labor to finish. If I had paid full price for the project, I would be in the hole.
I will finish the paint work and then advertise as such. Will see. I really thought I might get some interest advertised earlier at $10,000 ready to shoot and the buyer could do that and finish with color etc as he would want. Guess not.
At 73 I admit I am ready to stop busting my ***. Rather pick up project, clean it up get it running and actually make a $ for my effort.

I'm in the same boat. Gave myself 2 years to sell off my cars and parts. After 50 years of doing this I no longer enjoy it as much.
Neither does my body....

If you didn't get any interest at 10k there has to be something very major wrong with the project. I'd be all over a good '64 that just needed body and paint to finish. So what's not there that should be on a roller that "just needs body and paint"??

Needs body and paint is a tough one for many of us. I have one like that. I bought one I can just polish and tinker with. Daaamn, I sure do love my 66 though. Faded paint and all.

I think I mentioned ALL body work is done as in all rust repair, smoothing it all out, epoxy primed, urethane primer, mostly finished blocked> Just pretty close to top coat. 4 new tires, 2 new 15 x 7 Torq thrusts, 2 new A100 style CJ seats. Seals with bill of sale until I get time to do the Tx bonded title deal.
This is Tx chevy and truck country! This ain't back EASt or Left Coast! No one ever want to pay shipping. I will get some fresh pics when I have time. lol
Just finished doing the wife's Raid Toad last week.
I built a car just like this Savoy in the mid 90s. A slant cat I dropped in a 440 4 speed and 65 8 3/4 and sold it off because it was not a REAL muscle car!!!! lol

OMG..........Same boat here 73 and bought a Townhouse for the future move,
I'll be and have been selling off my parts and might get the 64 Savoy and a few others listed one of these days , hard to part with though.

I like the car and inquired about it but, it has no title and that was the biggest issue that kept me from further interest. Everyone says it's easy to get one... until you try it. Regardless of the parts, pieces and work that's in the car, if you want the right money for the car, the paperwork should at least be in order for the buyer...my 2 sense

Needs painted, needs drivetrain and has no title? Doesn't sound like a car you can readily sell for more than 5-6K if it's a REALLY good car.

Like I said, I can get the T bonded title. Take a bout 3 weeks here with inspection and buying bond, and sending off to state If I was back in ole Missouri, I could have a regular title in hand in a week. Bill of sale is a problem for some, others not.

SO IF YOU have a project with ALL body work done, and ready for topcoat, I guess it has little value to you? But asking.
IF I drop in a old running engine VS a completely rebuilt fresh engine vs what it is worth as a roller....Some people rather have a roller as they have a good engine looking for a home.
Like said, looking for feed back and I appreciate everyones thoughts.
Around here a 62-5 Body post complete roller will cost you around $4000 little more or less depending. With the slant still there, same $. IF I had not got this car at a real bargain, I would be like all the other guys in up side down from the get go.
Materials for body/paint easy $1500. Sheetmetal as in floor pans, what $600?
new tires and pair of new Torq Trusts / $800
New A100 style seats $400
New windlace $225?
Guess I will just get it titled and finish the paint and interior and then go from there.

I am not saying your car is overpriced but in my eyes the value for the car I quoted would have to be media blasted completely disassembled all glass removed all metal wok completed for 15k. I not saying your car won't be a nice driver but not done like a 40k car needs to be.

I currently have a BARE '69 RR shell. Car was dipped, epoxy primed and all necessary sheet metal replaced. It is almost ready for body and paint. If I got 10k for just the shell as is I'd be losing money. And I'm talking about JUST the shell - nothing else. However, I have the ownership.

10k for yours is more than reasonable in my mind BUT the lack of ownership would be a deal breaker for me as I'd be bringing it across a border.

There are a lot of things that can kill an otherwise good deal !!
