It does look like he did tag that dude in the white tee shirt right before he hit the pole.
Dude saw what was coming at the last second and tried to run. I can't quite tell but it looks like he
does a flip like he got tagged or dove ahead. Looks like the pole saved him though.

I think some of us should get collateral damage compensation for just having watch the video? I'm "emotionally damaged?" $15k should do it? (Not sure a jury will buy it? But I've heard of far more ridiculous suits?)

That adds a whole new element. From very unfortunate to criminal. If just the pole? Gross misdemeanor reckless driving at worse. If someone hurt? Felony reckless endangerment. That's a whole different animal of legal hurt.

Looks like the driver was a least belted in good......geez.....a buddy of mine did stooopid stuff like that. Took me for a ride in a 440 Cuda one time and I thought we were going to get on a 'good' road when he hammered it on a skinny two lane with deep ditches on either side. He got a piece of my mind that day. Cussed him out pretty good.....dumb forks. The nearly empty wide open road wasn't a 1/4 mile away.
