Hey guys, I am finally attaching the scoop on my 63 and was wondering if anyone knew how far forward from the back edge of the hood it is supposed to sit?
Its not a resto or anything. Just wondering where it is supposed to sit. Thanks in advance for any info.

I would ask Larry at sled city. He would certainly know!

Tell me if I'm seeing things, that has the scoop but no holes cut in the hood?
Thought you could figure how it sat on the hood with all those pics, you didnt ask for a hole in the hood.

Thanks guys. I am working on a Plymouth. Im guessing it would sit at the same spot as the pics of the dodge?

This is Larry at Sled City. I have had 3 aluminum nosed 63 Dodges and their scoops were 3 3/8" from the center of the back of the scoop to the center pf the back of the hood. 63 cars had a smaller carb hole than a 64

Still asking for any info on the 63 Plymouth
Thanks for the reply’s regarding the dodges. Not sure if they’re the same.

Just need to know how far forward the center of the scoop would be from the rear edge of the hood on a 63 Plymouth.

Yep, different hoods though. Plymouth has a body line at the back. I’m guessing the rear of the scoop is just far enough back to cover it. It’s almost at 3 3/8” in that spot. Thanks.

I make all the hoods and scoops and am aware of the differences.
