Guys!
I wonder if you can help me out? 66 Dodge Charger won't start, just keeps turning over and no spark. I changed voltage regulator, electronic ignition box, and dual ballast resistor. Still won't start, so I replaced ignition switch with a new one and it started right up. After a day or two same problem will not start
I noticed however when I installed a new ignition switch when replacing the battery terminal I saw a small spark and the engine fan turned a little with no key. And I have no spark to coil. Where is the best place to start? Do I need to start at the Bulk Head Connector on Firewall? It has never been removed since I owned the car, 1975? Please help

I would chase down where that fan power wire is coming from, might be shorting your ignition power

sounds like you have a draw , that should help you, put a test light between the positive cable the battery and if its lit you can undo things until it goes out , that will lead to your problem

If it is equipped with a amp meter check the connection at the gauge

So no spark is it a electronic box?

I think it's probably a bad connection or open ballast resistor. Check the bulkhead connector. Unplug one side of the ballast resistor and check the resistance across it

So the fan turned a bit. Now how could that be without the solonoid engaging and making noise? Maybe you got a bad starter. Solonoid stuck?

you just run a wire from the positive battery to the positive on the coil , use a screwdriver to jump the starter solenoid , it should start, to stop just pull the wire off, its not good to run 12 volts to the coil but it wont hurt for short times
