Getting ready to pull the trigger on their damper for my internally balanced 440 and would
like to know your opinion of these? The brand name damper is $475.00 at Jegs! WoW!
440 Source is only $149.00,and while I'm not trying to penny pinch, I will not be racing the car
but realize the positive effects of these units on the rotating assembly. Your opinions willbe appreciated. Thank You!

Got mine from them 2 yrs ago, no issues and the timing marks seem to be correct for TDC.

I used one for about 3 years/roughly 20-25K miles. Maybe it's not a large sample size, but the mains looked fine at teardown. So it appears to have done it's job.

It did wear, what I thought was a little excessively for the use, on the front seal surface. I've pulled factory dampers off with well over 100K miles that had similar depth of wear, so "maybe" their chinese metal doesn't take the seal riding on it as well. It didn't leak though so not a big deal.

I used the black one, and although I did find the marks to be off by one line I was very pleased with the visibility. Laser-etched in white and marked from 10ATDC to 50BTDC. I'd say to just verify the marks against true TDC but that should probably be done with any damper.

WOW ... where are all the China bashers that have no first-hand knowledge of this product ?!?!?

They say in their description of the damper that these are not Chinese Junk! I dunnow,
just wanted some opinions. Thanks everyone! Here we go!

They’re Chinese, just not Chinese junk lol.

FWIW ... I have a 440Source stroker kit, crank damper, serpentine pulleys and HV external feed/remote filter oil pump.

I'm totally satisfied with everything.

The only thing I ever bought that I returned with was their aluminum main caps and the only reason is because they're machined for LB small mains and it was going to cost too much to have them redone for an RB crank. I had one of their water pumps too but I got a smokin' deal on a Mopar Performance piece and I just couldn't pass it up.

Yeah, what they say is they're "not like the imported garbage others are selling..." but if they were USA made, they'd say so. They'd also list it in their "USA-made Parts" section. A little semantics going on there...but they're okay pieces especially for the money. I'd use one of those again before using one of the other El-cheapos from somewhere else.

Are you trying to run the fluid damper? I've read so many bad things about runing that style on street cars.

I bought and run the one for $120.00 with the weight that can change between external and internally balanced engines. I ran this one on both an external and internal balanced engine and it worked great both ways.

Just my .02

Too late, his order is in. And no reason not to run it on the street.
