Is this normal? Play in lower control arm

Thats normal, when it's under a load the pivot is locked under tension...

I would think that is normal for a car with a lot of miles on it. My car had less play on one side than the other. I bought a couple of arms from a member here (that turned out to be a body arms) and they were just a little different side to side. I bought the stiffening plates from pst and welded them on my old arms, applying just a little pressure with a welding clamp, squeezing the bottom of the arms together, without impeding movement. I can’t believe that I took my parts car to the salvage yard and left the arms go with it. Found out that the car only had 71000 miles on it.

Strut rod will probably take a lot of that up.
