Trying out a huge hei all in 1? Distributor. Its brand new , removed the wires used with orange box and my electronic distributor installed the new ... this is a 318 with j heads and air gap intake 3 " pipes runs pretty good any how what wire or wires should go to bat side of hei cap... I can guess and play around with blue and brown but would rather not

Can you elaborate on the all in one distributor? Is it an MSD ready to run?

The red is the hot wire and the green is the tach. My distributor did not come with the connector. O'Reilly's had them in stock. This is one of the best upgrades that I have done. Bump the key and it is running.

I took the wires from the ballast resistor and put them together. This will give you 12 volts while starting and running. I did not do this at first and the car would spin over and would not fire until I let off the key. What a pain that was.

Thank you I gave that another shot and brought my timing in... good to go
