Can someone tell me what brown wire that is on same harness as alternator wires blue/green is for??

Brown wire in the alternator harness is for your washer bottle pump? You have one brown from the ballast resistor to the coil. You have a blue from the F terminal on the alternator that wire also goes to the I terminal of the voltage regulator as well as to the other terminal on the ballast resistor. From there you get a second blue wire to what they are calling the control unit. Your blue/green wires are for the alternator. Green goes from the alternator to the F terminal on the voltage regulator. The blue from the Alternator has several places it goes. Look at the colored in wires on the first picture I posted.

There are two brown wires on engine bay.

14 gauge is the positive coil wire and it comes from ign switch and ballast resistor.

16 gauge is the wiper washer

Mymopar diagrams are not complete and a bit innacurate on models from 1972 and on. Nothing of the seatbelt wiring ( and several accesories ) it appears on them.

Thank you for the help

MyMopar diagrams are so "wrong" on models since 72, what still shows the wiper washer motor wired into the engine harness while they changed that wire to the forward lighting harness on 74

AND THEY ARE SO WRONG that on 74 they are showing a single ballast resistor and the green with red trace linked to that.

Aside they don'ty show anything of the interlock system

the 73 diagram is also wrong showing a 3 pings Ign module and a single ballast resistor ?

so we need to be picky with them
