so a customer brought in a really nice, fairly new Exmark mower powered by a Kohler v-twin. He said it is leaking oil and won't start. You have to ask yourself "how does this happen?
These things are not cheap
Hole in the block behind the the starter and the both rods destroyed
Some people should not be allowed any power tools

Geez not only power tool ban but anything potentially dangerous!

Yeah, how would that happen?

The old single cylinder Kohler were bad about cracking of the case and self destructing - including mine. I still went ahead and got a Sears with the newer twin Kohler which has been doing good so far.

Seemed down on power when I first got it and then started missing. Since it was just a few months old I called them up and said someone needs to come out and fix this thing. He showed up, wrenched around on it a little and then called me over and said he thought he had found my problem. Showed me a plug he removed that from the nice shiny electrode obviously had never fired and had a broken off insulator in the boot. Apparently got bumped in assembly or something. Never could figure how it wasn’t missing from day 1. Ran a lot better after that.

Had a brigs Toro push mower for 12 years , just replaced it with a new space saver unit. Changed the oil 2 times and a few filters ….still runs strong, but everything else is falling off.

I’m a Briggs fan, Honda’s are a pain for parts and carb issues when they sit too long( my luck) techumseh is out of biz and Koehler I used to think were good..
