Sounds right to me, Hopefully it wont take the 6 months to a year to get it done.
Not much jail time.
I used those numbers because you say no body work. Some go to jail for YEARS.

Is $5000 supposed to expensive for a paint job? No offense to anyone if it is, but my opinion is that even $5k is not that expensive if the quality is there.

$5000 is cheap, a gallon of primer and activator is over $400 , paint is through the roof, and how much is your time worth

My car was ready to shoot, sanded & blocked in 600wet. No bodywork what so ever.
I had 2 Gals. of paint, 10 Liters of clear, 2 Gals. of reducer, the activator for both B.C.,
and clear and the bill was $3400.00 I believe. Took him two weeks. Get everything
hammered out before handing it over. Nothing like a misunderstanding to gum things
up! Good luck!

Having someone you know well is everything. You both come away with a good feeling!

I remember back in the 80s you could get DuPont centari enamel for around 60 or 70 bucks a gallon.......

paint jobs are very expensive because the materials are very very expensive and going up all the time

Yes sir. A lot of my projects got put on hold until my three daughters graduated college. Now it’s daddy’s turn. Lol
