New tank new sending unit new fuel line and fuel filter. Car has sat 10 plus yrs not getting any fuel into filter. It ran 10 yrs ago before my dad got sick. We had removed fuel line and was dumping gas straight down carb to keep running due to bad line etc. And help would be appreciated

Disconnect fuel line going into fuel pump. Have some crank engine and put finger over fuel pump inlet line. See if you feel a vacuum, sucking feeling, on your finger. If not, bad fuel pump.

10 to 1, the fuel pump has went bad. You have spent a good bit of money already, what's another 50 bucks or less to get it running. You probably need to check the carburetor by filling the bowls manually with a squirt bottle and verifying that the accelerator pump is squirting fuel into the throat of the carburetor. Once you have fuel delivery to the carburetor it can be the next culprit.

If it sat for 10 years with ethanol gas in the tank, you may find the pickup tube in the tank stopped up with gunk. That happened to my car that sat for 7 years....

Did you not even read the original post??? 1st sentence: "New tank new sending unit new fuel line and new filter"

And last but not least when was the engine built? You may want to check on the fuel pump push rod. If its a big block. The ones out now are made of hardened butter and wear out pretty quick.

And then the car sat for 10 years? Maybe with gas in the tank? Excuse me for offering an opinion.

Yeah, it's not clear WHEN the tank, line & filter was new. Before or after the 10 years?? Well, kinda says, what's left ? Fuel pump & pushrod.

Other than what's been suggested I'd pull the fuel line off of the pump and have someone hold it in a container while you pressurize the tank. Typically stuffing a rag around an air nozzle in the fuel fill neck will do the trick but don't crazy. This should confirm that everything from the tank to the pump is good.

My bet is it's the fuel pump, rubber diaphragm and check valves plus 10 years of sitting isn't a good recipe. I'd replace it regardless.

Good luck
