have fun installing  hope its everything you expect it to be.

You will be happy with your purchase. It's a very nice product, pricey those. A buddy put one in his newly restored 70 GTX works like a charm. No problem with the install. Led lighting, you can choose what color you want and the digital read outs are nice. He kept his original cluster in case he sells the car and the new owner want to return it to original.

IMO a key to installing the system is picking a good spot for the connection hub, and look at the route(s) each wire will take. I know that's basic, but worth mentioning.
Their entire RTX series is really impressive looking stuff and not all that expensive for what you receive.
I had a Dakota Digital VHX Rally guage system for a few years, in the box, awaiting installation. When I was having a lot of parts and systems added to my 70 Roadrunner, I saw the RTX series had just been released, or really "announced" as mine was one of the first sold, and I sold my BNIB VHX system to a forum member. The ability to view various parameters on a smartphone or tablet was a big selling point, and I have a dual wideband O2 sensor system, and I have 2 Dakota Digital modules to make the data appear on the LCD display of the dash. I am going to use the nice dual band guage that Innovate Motorsports included with the O2 system, but the reason to link that data to the RTX DD system is so I can watch the A/F ratio on my phone or tablet while under the hood tweaking the 6bbl.
Here's a short video of my RTX DD guages in action. Too many dash and guage light color combos to list!

Shame they don't make them for 66-67. Such similar dashes. I can't even remember what I paid to have mine restored n converted.

He looked into getting his original cluster redone. But with shipping both ways (he lives in Ontario, Canada) and the cost of the restoration of the cluster. There was not that much of a difference in price. So he opted for the Dakota setup which gives you a few different options. I like how it looks and works.

I had not considered this option for the RR I'm building.
But since it will simplify my work and enhance the slightly modified matching numbers car as a driver I'm now thinking about it.
Seriously.
(The only thing is I bought a tach from AMS Obsolete to install in the original cluster)
The Dakota Digital options are not relatively much more than stand alone after market gauges and one gets what one pays for.

There are quite a few wires and connections to the existing dash harness to make. Take your time and the install will go smoothly. I bought the optional dimmer knob and installed it before I read the manual. There's set-up menu to adjust the brightness of the ked backlight with the headlights on/off.

Oh yeah, these newer gauges are quite impressive with the information they can provide. Plus, now with more OEM aesthetics they have become more appealing to me. I'd really like to see how well the "Distance to Empty" feature -like on newer vehicles, pans out. It's a learn feature in the gauge's electronics that requires your fuel gauge and odometer to be calibrated correct.

The 0-15mph option was exactly $150 more than the standard RTX.
They also have the 0-150mph available if you ask.

Planning: Neat, Complete & Reversible -if possible.
For starters, I made this adaptable harness from an old, not broken, gauge circuit board that I cleaned and soldered wires into so that it can plug into the factory console harness. That way I don't have to cut into it. I Just hope the push-in connection will be good enough.

There's an indicator that warns of low fuel at 2% left in the tank.

The optional GPS speedometer replaces the mechanical one and is simple to calibrate. Change tires or rear diff gear ratio, no problem. Just recalibrate the speedo.

I bought the 0-150 clear cover for my cluster. It was only in the early 68’s. I think it looks much better.

Look's really good. You won't be sorry you did this. That is what you look at most in the car when driving. Here is mine restored here in Fla. The speed O drive was shot and now is all new. Added the tach my self. Good luck buddy. Blue.

I noticed you no longer have an ammeter.
(Which is fine).
And it has been replaced by an oil pressure gauge.
Do you have any way to monitor your charging voltage now since that change from an oil warning light to a gauge?

voltage is in the digital message center

There's an app for that! No... really there is. It's helpful for setup and diagnostics as it can show the ohm values of the installed sensors (coolant, oil, fuel sender). Seems useful right now. Here's a simple screen shot of it after my install & warmup.

Making this plug-in was really convenient and helpful for the install. It took a bit of planning on the front end, but it proved to be handy on the back end because I forgot to make the DIM (dimmer) connection after I installed everything but since I already had the wire from the OEM harness all I had to do was attach it to the control box w/o splicing or removing the gauge!
