Hydraulic Roller Cam Winter Project

Do me a favor, read up how long Ma Mopar has been installing Hydraulic roller cams in their cars with virtually no issues. I have many friends with HellCats and Demons and they don't drive these cars easy and they never have had an issue so what's the issue with installing one in a older car or don't you really know and just feel like adding a stupid comment !
I know man been a long time hell cats and demons are the bomb.

Always read just old school here.

I understand, but I have done so much research on this and my engine builder has sold hundreds of the same kit I'm buying from him and he's never had one fail even with the guys that race every weekend then drive home. My nephew has a 70 Cuda 440 with a hydraulic roller setup and he's had the cars for years and never had a issue with them. He will re-adjust them every spring and just drive the car and sometimes very hard. I know there was a issue with the needle rollers a few years back but they were the really cheap lifters. If you spend 300 bucks on a set of lifters you are going to have issues. I plan on buying nothing but the best, I don't care if the lifters cost me a grand it's worth the peace of mind.

Did you even read all the comments that have been posted? You can’t even compare the new motors with roller cams to these old dinosaur motors. Completely different designs with regards to the lifters, not to mention everything else.

Sounds like you are determined to get an HR. Go with it. An advantage: it won't have a lobe go flat.

I prefer solid lifter cams. I like the power, the sound, and don't mind checking valve lash. Actually I like checking lash.

This has been explained to you by professionals in the two threads you've started on the subject. You elected to use a hydraulic roller cam anyways, which is perfectly fine, it's your engine. It's apparent now that you already knew what you were going to do and were just looking for people to re-affirm your decision.

No I wasn't really sure what I was going to do I was kicking around the idea of going with just a solid flat tappet cam but after speaking with my engine builder he answered all my questions and concerns so this is the way I'm going to go.

Gonna be a fun ride no matter what. Everyone likes the strokers these days but a nicely-built 440 does the job.
