I have a set of Isky lifters 3912hy that were purchased for a BB. Wondering if I can use them in a LA 318. Isky list the lifter for the LA as a 3912 A HY. Anyone had any experience with this ? I know the diameter is the same just wondering if the height is the same?

I believe that the oil band is at a different height in some lifters. Some brands are universal. AMC lifters are the same diameter and fit small and big block Mopars.
Check out the WIDE oil bands in these Lunati lifters!
I sent them back, thinking I'd have NO oil pressure with these in the engine!

I have had this set of lifters for about 10 years, still sealed. Given all the issues with lifters recently I would like to use them if possible.

The lifters I have don't have that wide oil band.

OK, Just had a conversation with Isky and although the diameter of the lifter is the same the BB lifters will not work in a SB due to the placement of the oil band. I also brought up the subject of recent lifter failure issues and they had no comment.
