I removed the springs, took photos but they are not that detailed. So, I don't recall how they came apart. So, is there a front or rear to the leaves? I have an even number of leaves for each side and the bottom leaves have the same number.

The reason I'm asking is when looking at each end the taper is different on one side. Does the side with less angle go towards the outside of the car or vice/versa? Or does it matter?

I always take photos with a tape measure in the pics to show the distance from the front/rear of the leaf to the center hole. and try and do one side at a time so I have an assembled one to look at.

Sure someone will chime in with the info you need.

It becomes obvious when you lay them all out together as to which way they go based on the wear plate locations and the extra hole (between the wear plate snap in holes) that locates the leaf clamp straps.

Lower spring the part # goes to the rear of the car on full leafs at least. On my Bee the lower 1/2 leafs, one was forward and one was rearward ('67 Charger springs/rear end I borrowed back in '78)

This is a 65-67 B body 8 3/4 rear end if that makes any difference. Cass (AKA Doctor Diff) recommended I use it and the spring relocation kit to make room for the wider wheels and tires on Uncle Bill's Cuda.

Well my Bee rear axle assembly is out of a '67 Charger, so what I show there either matches what you have or it doesn't .. LOL 5 springs both sides, identical other than the bottom 1/2 leaf is rearward on the left and forward on the right.

Sorry, I got a little confused. My springs are from the 70 Cuda. I bought the housing from a 65-67 B body to narrow the rear end for the tire fitment. I have to wait now for the longer center bolts to arrive so I can add the required pinion angle shims, per ***. Mine are only 2 7/16". I found some NOS 4 1/8" on eBay for $15 shipped from ECS Auto in Missouri. They have a bunch of them.

I think I have the way the springs and the rebuild kit goes together hanks to yours and other build threads.

383 car.
You can see which way everything points in relation to the eyes
Both faced forward.
I just looked the numbers up out of curiosity.

I don't know what he used but every kit I see has incorrect (crummy) zinc plated steel interleaved.
I had a MOPAR vendor rip me off.
Advertised as zinc before I bought his kit.
Sent me steel and said they were "better".
Not worth the hassle to argue.

Get this.
It is perfect.
You can double or triple the layer of it and doesn't even show.
Looks right.
2.5 wide.

I bought the kit from Mancini. Same as the one Roseville sells and calls them zinc interliners. Looks like galvanized steel to me. I'm not restoring the car. I'm just fixing it to be a driver.
