‘69 Charger R/T SE on BAT.

Winning Bid was $75,000 USD..... with TWO Bidders at that Price !

Geezuz... is that what these cars are Selling for ?

Opinions ?

Yup.
That might even be on the cheap side.

The car is in nice shape. And possibly the pinnacle year for Charger. $75k is not outrageous. Even with replacement 440. The question? Does price continue to climb? There is some evidence of prices plateauing in the auction markets. But not in the resale markets as yet. Time will tell.

Prices on certain cars seem to be at least 25% higher than other sites. Not usually for Mopars though.

But ‘68-‘70 Chargers aren’t “just” Mopars. :D

Everybody seems to hate the WiW threads ?

So being an owner, and in case the time comes when I may have to Sell... and because these Chargers have become assets ?
I try to keep up somewhat on actual '69 Charger R/T SE Sale Prices ? and to compare/gauge my own '69 Charger R/T SE against driving factors behind the Prices attained for these Cars.

IMO a nicely done resto.... that said,
I was a little surprised at the $75K given the changes from collectability present ie: Alterkation Frt End, NOM Engine, missing A/C, and the Color which is subjective.

Marketing.... marketing.... marketing.... to best price I guess ?

I’ve been watching auctions on BAT for the last couple of years. And what I’ve seen is restomods seem to get higher bids than OEM restos.
A lot of people want to drive these things, and want modern brakes, modern suspension, and modern drivetrains. Engine and trans. A totally original ‘70 Super Bee with the 440 Six Pack, 4-speed was a RNM at $65k.

It does seem like the “Pebble Beach” crowd over there.
