Does anyone know what these four brown 18ga. wires with connectors go to on
a 1968 GTX? They are behind the windshield washer button. Two are taped together with
cloth tape, and the other two are loose. They come out of the loom at the same location,
and only one has the exposed brass connector showing. The washer button only has two
male spades so, what the Hay are the other two for? Thanks for the help!

Two on the washer switch and the other two to the wiper switch.

I'm confused, The wiper switch gets the plug in the background. that takes up all but one of the male spades?

Look at the switch and you will see. It gets the plug and the other two loose ones. As I recall on two speeds the one wire will not be used. Three speed use them all.

O.K., Thank You! I'll look at the wiring schematic and get it right! The next hiccup is the polarity on the
AM radio to the speaker. I have a green and black wire coming out of the radio and there's no polarity
marked on the schematic. I just had to buy a re-Pop heater control panel today because just sitting
inside for forty years, it's pitted! Luckily the bill wasn't too bad.

Your speaker won't care which polarity it gets if it's mono. It's more critical to get both speakers the same when there are two (or more) to prevent frequency cancellation.

Black is ground and green is the positive side. Really they wont care as mentioned above.

O'K., Thanks Guys! The one empty male spade on the wiper switch takes the one brown connector with the slot
cut out of the side to clear the tang protruding from the side of the spade on the wiper switch.
The other two brown wires that are taped together with cloth tape go to the Washer button. I appreciate the help!
