I got home and parked and was again frustrated by the issue. I know that the kickdown linkage has a large part in the transmission working properly. So I decided to try to adjust it again by going one turn at a time on the throttle rod. After I shortened the rod three turns the problem seemed to go away and the car just drives completely different as far as acceleration. Got on the freeway and it was a joy just how it was running. I pulled over at a gas station thinking that I if shortened it more I may just get better results, but that was not the case. With just two more clockwise turns I began to have issues going past 30. So, I went back to only the three turns I had initially, and boom a joy to drive again. It’s amazing how just those three little turns changed the car. I even punched it at the light and made the tires squeal.

I just added Decron III to my 727. But I hate it. It has slipped the 2-3 shift since I got it. And it locks up in first gear if you put it into the 1 position. I like the 18 spline 4-speeds a little more!
