People that I don't like

I agree with you most of the time but I have met many people that don't tell interesting stories the way that you do. They simply rape my ears with rants about themselves and what they think & feel. THEN when I have a chance to speak, they are not interested in listening.
I have no interest in dealing with people like that.
I hear you, my friend. I just don't ever like to argue in absolutes, however....
Not all people are as you describe, nor are they as I do, either.
Fair enough?

My wife's cousin is a real pain in the *** for me, she is one of those person that never ever shut the **** up, when you try to talk never listen to you, with her you have monologues, her opinion is the only one that matter, now me being rude and just for fun, always do this, always speak when she start to talk, she raise her voice and so am I, untill we are yelling to each other, one time during a family dinner she finally blows up and told me to shut the **** up, I laugh so hard and told her to do the same, why don't you just shut the **** up, in fact you never ever listen to your daughter she's a teen drunk, listen to your brother also an addict and you know what, **** you, ( all this is Spanish of course ) my wife luckily wasn't there at the time, and in our way home i tell her what happened, she wasn't happy to say the least ( she is her cousin after all) but i told her I di not want to see her again, end of the trouble.
Wow, y'all are quite the passionate people eh? :)

Thank you from all of us for the translation.

Only with her, I never like her and she never like me, forgive me for the bad words but honestly we despise each other.
Sounds like my sister and me. She was one and still does think she's my mother. Mom passed away when I was 12 and my sister at 16 decided (with dad asking her to help when I was 'young') to be my mom well into my 50's. In her mind I'm a dumb *** and don't know sheeet. We're still at it even though I quit arguing with her years ago but she still tries......

"Wow! You nailed it. Sounds just like some of the frequent posters on the PF. Lots of free time on their hands, bad health issues, minimal family bonds, use forums for their major social outlet, don’t do much listening, self absorbed in their thinking and constantly preaching/criticizing others with different views.
Many here put up with it because of the love of Mopars"

Couldn't have stated it better.
Broke my neck when I was 17. Almost suffered
the same fate as Sonny Bono. Spent 6 weeks
in traction, 6 months in a body cast. I vowed
then to never let this setback stand in the way
of pursuit of a "normal" life. My left arm and
shoulder have been paralyzed for my entire
adult life.
When my friends visit, the first thing brought
up is the current build I'm working on.
I've never owned a Mopar and decided to
take one on as a last hoorah to a 46 year
career as a mechanical engineer.

Really! Sharing one of the hobbies you obviously enjoy. By the looks of it you'll get a "GRIP" on the task at "HAND". But, you may want to keep the other hobbies to yourself. I'm not interested in your attributes.

Nah, just a comment on how clever you think you are with your previous snide remark. Perhaps if you talked more about your nice looking street rod more instead of your incessive dislike for the previous President, perhaps people here would like you more, but that bridge has been burned.

I tried to hook two guys up to put the finishing touches on a city sponsored car show. The younger guy needed help in getting cars parked. I introduced them at a show and the older guy began to tell about how he needed to get prizes and awards and everything to run the show. I tried to stop him and said "he just needs help with parking". He told me, "you came to me for help, so you need to be quiet and listen to me". The arrogance and ego of this expert made me question why I was even a friend to someone like this. Afterwards I just apologized for my "then" friend. I avoid him whenever possible now.

My, but we are a diverse lot. But after all,
we do share a common interest. It amazes
me that those that share this common
interest find ways to argue about it. I'm
not here to fight, but to learn, and to offer
my expertise. Many here offer sound advice.
And many here think they know it all.
The natural reaction to being attacked is to
defend. There's no reason for this on a
platform designed to help those that seek
answers.
There are no stupid questions,. just stupid
answers.

Here we have the perpetual story tellers. They talk so fast that you can’t get a word in edgewise, and it’s like listening to a little kid, it’s one looooooong sentence. When you do manage to derail their story, they lie in waiting until the time is right, and pick right back up where they left off, with a “so, anyways”! Crafty ones they are, and you really have to stick to your guns and just try again with another derail. Sometimes it takes all night, but they WILL tell that story, all odds be damned. It pays to be mobile, and gently walk away while they’re focusing on the one person that may actually be listening
