I did a 512ci stroker a few years ago from a 400 Chrysler. I had the engine Dyno and it was running a bit leaner on the right side over the left. Just wondering if this is a normal trait for a duel plane intake on bb mopar because of different intake runner length? Being on a dyno this was obviously at wot. When I check the plugs they definitely look like the right side runs leaner. Just wondering would it be worth offset jetting the right side to make them the same?

Not normal and why did you not correct it on the dyno?

Tell us about the build and show us the dyno sheet .
Each side if the intake feeds 2 cylinders from each side . Doesnt make sense for an entire bank to run lean .

And there is the problem. Unless he has a reading for each cylinder, it is simply an average of 4 cylinders. Could be one cylinder.

Need EGTs

Odd and even would be a better way to describe which side.

I’ve ran dual planes and single planes on mine. I will say the distribution sucks with dual planes on the big motor. I’d recommend an old school single plane like a tm6 or Holley SD even on a street car.

400/512. Edelbrock performer rpm, trick flow 240, crane hydraulic roller 252/258 @ .50, 2 1/8 Tti headers, Holley 850 Xp, hs roller rockers.

I'm only asking because that is what I'm building a 512 from a 72 400 but I'm going to use this factory intake and carbs

I also had the intake off and reinstalled with new gaskets.

was the intake straight out of the box sometimes they do warped. I have had this happen to me with a 360 that I Mud raced years ago had it milled and problem gone

I have been running the Indy dual plane intake on my 63 with an 850 DP since 2011 and it has not done any problem like that. Its a mild 440/493 with basic EZ heads but all my plugs normally look very close to the same. Good luck getting it straight. Ron
