I need a safe spot to leave a truck and trailer from Sept. 29th to Oct. 3rd. I'm going to the 1970-71Wellborn reunion. I trailering my car car to Memphis, meeting up with my cousin and driving there for the weekend. Anyone have a safe spot or know where I could leave them? Thanks.

Be sure you find a safe spot, Memphis has a horrible crime problem..

Make sure your insurance is up to date on both.
You may want to consider a lower deductable.

When I'm traveling, and Memphis is on the route, I make sure I don't have to stop there for anything.

You might look into an RV park or some campgrounds in the area.

Best bet is a well known member here with room on property or also post on FABO.
Used to snowmobile up in Quebec. Crazy theft issues up there at the time. Trucks, trailers, sleds and any combination of those. Heard a story where a few guys stopped at a rest area. Came back and new truck, trailer and 4 sleds gone in minutes. Me and a buddy drove his truck and 2 sleds for a 3 day backpacking trip. Parked his truck in tight spot at hotel, unhooked trailer and parked truck nose in to it. Placed truck axle on jack stand and removed 1 tire. Locked it inside truck. Also chained trailer axle. Crazy but it worked.

All kidding aside, the wife and I stayed on the south side for a couple days 2 yrs ago.
Did the graceland tour and sun records,
Next eve we spent on beal street music and bbq.
1st night we took a cab to a bbq place on central ave. Great food but I can not recall the name of it.
Really the south side seemed pretty decent.
Back in my old trailer trucking days the west side was the wild side .:D

One of the companies I was leased to had a terminal in W.Memphis they would lose at least 5 high value loads a week right out of the terminal. I avoid Memphis and little Rock like the plague.

I am happy as heck I no longer have to go through Memphis to visit my son as he moved.
Trouble is, now I have to go through Nashville. It's worse!

I was hoping one of the members here had a place I could park at I’m pretty open to where I park it it can be above Above Memphis or hour in any direction

You would be more than welcome to park your rig at my place, but you would only be about 35 miles from your destination.

Thanks but I do want to spend time driving it. My other option is to drive it all the way ,14 hours

I'm 140 miles due north of Memphis (800 feet west of Highway 45E) and have 5 1/2 acres, lots of room to park things, no crime, guns, and a big *** Doberman just in case.
