Remember when we were talking about chicks liking a car?

My daily driver is a 96 Bronco. I just tell them I can stay on for 8 seconds.

When the PT first came out my wife wanted one but when I raised the hood at the dealership, it took me every bit of 3 seconds to drop it and say nope! We usually keep cars well past the warranty date and wasn't about to buy one. Don't care for FWD in the first place and really didn't care for the PT. Well, when the youngest wanted her own car, mom went to 'help' her find one. Buddy of mine that owns a used car lot just happened to have a PT and he doesn't care about ChryCo cars. Asked him why in the world did he even have it on the lot let alone sell it to her lol.
We bought a 2004 PT. for my wife. We kept it for 10 years. It was a good little bug that was surprisingly roomy and comfortable. The only mechanical issues we had were covered by warranty. It was also pretty good on winter roads. Overall, pretty happy with it.

My daughter's PT was fairly roomy, handled well and had plenty of pep being it was a turbo. It was a bit hard on sensors though.....even factory replacements....front wheel bearings twice (she drove it hard) and too many other things to try to remember. All I know is that I got sick of working on it AND hated working on it from the start.

Those things sold like crazy when new.. Seems like there was a long waiting list to get one.

Our P/T was a good car as well.
Bought it with 30,000 for $3400 and sold it at 160,000 for $500.
Roomy with great cargo area, fun to drive (5 speed), good MPG for the era (26.5 average in mixed driving).

Wheel bearings are a known issue because of a possible bad ground. Added ground and second set of bearings lasted past that 160,000 number.
Biggest bitch was timing belt that cost $900 to get done professionally 'cause I wasn't doing it.
( I could have but it would have taken weeks, not hours).

I think it eventually cracked the head but not sure.
Would idle in the driveway for an hour and not get hot
But drive 10-15 miles and the water was 1/2 gone.
Gut that bought it with full disclosure was happy to get it.
