O.K., so today I took my steering column apart to make it look "Sweet" and decided to
replace the upper and lower bearings as a preventative measure. Holy Moly Bat Man!
$100.00 for the bottom bearing and $41.00 for the teeny Tiny top bearing! Bearings for
a Dana 60 don't cost that much! What are yuse Guys doing for bearings? I'm going to
search for the correct sizes and report back. Let me know what everyone is using, I can't
justify paying over $150.00 for the bearings and shipping for these low quality pieces.
As always, Thanks for the input!

Look for another vendor. Make it simple.

The top one feels like it's Toast. I found a listing at Vans Auto, #CHZBRG001, $11.00 ea.
Tomorrow I'l take the lower one out and check it. Jeez, they want to rip you any way they
can. Now, if Vans actually has them? We'll see!

Bust out your calipers then go to Grainger.com or McMaster.com to find something that will work in that application.

Definitely report back. I started the rebuild of my Column and saw the prices for simple bearings were ridiculous. Now I wait for something reasonable.

Tell me what you find.

Check out an SER205-16-1 bearing. About $12 on e-bay. I have used a couple of them in place of the OE lower plastic bushing/seal setups. They don't look stock but are alot more solid.

Thanks for the Ebay bearing, just ordered.

Now what about that top one? Mine is toast. I guess I may do the Mcmaster Carr game if someone does not have a Timken part number.

Vanns or Detroit Muscle Technologies is your cheapest bet. The MOPAR part number to search for is 2265656.

YES! I just ordered mine for $9.00 delivered to my door. 52mm I.D. on my tube and 1" dia. steering shaft.
I'm going to put a spring clip around my tube to keep it in place, but a really great upgrade! Saw the article
on FABO with a Google search. Screw the $100.00 units.
