1966 Coronet 440 field find

Did I miss where exactly, you are using those bolts?

Great idea.

Sorry, I wasn't clear with my description. These are joining the down pipe on to the manifold. They made it so easy to tighten. No trying to get backup into the tightness of the exhaust area. Just start the nut and hit it with the air ratchet from below. Done.

I did not get the car running yesterday. A friend came over and we worked on his Valiant. Today I will get the Coronet fired up and running.

Tomorrow I am going to run this old girl down the road. In order to get it to run, I removed the unknown 750 carb and threw the known 500 back on. Then I gave it a test. No fire. I flipped the distributor 180 and it roared to life. I do not remember rolling the engine over on the stand and leaving it half way......but I did! It fires at the touch of the key and purrs like a lion. I'll time it a bit more tomorrow and do some tuning. I'm a happy guy now.

Thanks Ed. Did you try clicking the little arrow in the top right corner of the video box? I don't know how I got videos to post off google drive before, but I am having trouble here. I'm going to keep trying. It has to be doable.

Yes sir - that goes to the Google Player, which is basically the same as the YT engine.
It will not play there (or here) for me, however.
I did manage to download the file and play it on my own PC though. Engine sounds happy and healthy.

Those bolts are a great idea.

Tightening (or removing) those is always a bitch, or a two man job.....or both.

I think it would work great. I will use this in any crappy spot from now on!
Yeah, because that pisses me off on those sometimes - there's not enough clear around the bolt heads
sometimes to even get a thinwall socket on them.

Ok. I gotta play with some things but it seems to run good. The brakes are extremely effective, and the steering is waaay too easy!

I love turbines!

Is that a 73 nova with a 72 front clip?

Im gonna try something out. Where I work occasionally bolts are difficult to gain access to so we customize them. I figured exhaust bolts fit into the same category. If I can get all these self stoppers to drop in from the top, it will make life way better.

I did this exact same thing on my car .
