How in the hell does a cam manufacturer put out a product as soft as butter! I don't think I would trust their cams.

I posted this picture in another thread. The one on the right is 6 months old. I also installed the one before I installed the one on the right. That is 2 bad pump rods in a 6 month period of time. The first one I took out was ate up by a full 3/16 of an inch. The one you see below is about an 8th inch worn down. But one is a Comp Cams Push rod the new one on the left is I think 440 Source. I installed it but the hardness is yet to be determined.

3.220 long?
It's about .005" under. And that was with 50+ years of use. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in my car if I needed one.
