My Favorites....

Booker T & the MG's - Green Onions
Led Zepplin - Black Dog
Jet - Cold Hard Bitch
Mountain - Mississippi Queen
Ted Nugent - Stranglehold
The Who - Long Live Rock

It would be easier to list songs that make me wanna drive slow:)....but here's a few

As far as I'm concerned, as I believe it to be the "Hot Rodder's" ANTHEM; Green Onions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You CAN NOT - It is - IMPOSSIBLE to play it LOUD ENOUGH. Almost every car movie has it. And I used to ( in the 60's-70's when they let you) stand next to the nitro dragsters and AA/FA's . So when they Fired them in the pits not only could hear them but you could feel the exhaust pounding you in the chest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ya I'm old, have duel hearing aids, But I have been around for the best years. New "stuff" might be quicker and faster, but WILL NEVER BE AS NASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our 66 has 689HP makes 600 lbft starting at 2800 ( max.'s at 675) and stays above that to 7K. Narrowed rear springs, 6 cyl. T-Bars, 90-10's in the front, no sway bars, and 4.11's ( my street gear). Just got to make sure it is pointed straight, as it can't turn to save it's life. But you are safer in it we me than Rebecca, She is Scary with the loud pedal. And it is only a "mild" Mopar.

You can't be close to the nitro burners at startup anymore?? Been years since going to any kind of race but was always on the lookout for those minutes before startup and was usually at the forefront when they pushed them out from underneath the trailer's awning. Just the vibration would make my ball cap move on my head....and made sure to not be in the path of the exhaust and had ear plugs!

Almost anything AC/DC especially

I can't drive 55....but now that I'm 70, it doesn't bother me that much but dang, seems like there are so many that are going 80+ in a 60 zone these days. Even when in the far right lane, people are driving up my butt even if I'm doing 70.
