I recently inherited my father's project 68 roadrunner. The fender tag says it was originally QQ1, however I was under the impression that he painted it B5 and now I'm not so sure. I have the original drivetrain (383 and auto trans) but he had picked up a 440 and a couple of 4 speeds for it. I have the engine in the shop getting rebuilt and am starting to put the car back together soon.

I pushed it outside and washed 10 years of dust off the "new" paint job. It still looks pretty good.

Very Kool! ‘68 is my favorite year. I’m building a GTX out of a Satellite.

Sweet......I love GTX's my dad bought one new the year I was born (68) and has missed it ever since he got rid of it. I'm pretty sure that's the reason he planned on putting a 440 in this roadrunner

Post a pic of the fender tag. I'm putting together a 68 GTX that's QQ1 with S6B interior color code.
If you need any info on the colors, I'll be glad to help! Very nice car!

Welcome! Happy for you! Making memories along the way.

Very nice Plymouth. Good luck with your project, keep us posted.

Yes the paint look's pretty darn good. Bring it back to life and drive it like you stole it. Dad will be proud of ya.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Today I looked through his paint supplies cabinet and found the paint he used and it is electric blue which Google told me was QQ1.

I haven't posted anything about my roadrunner in 6 months but the car is done except for buffing and it might need some wet sanding. I found a local guy who restores mopars as a hobby.....he said to me after looking over the car that it should be an easy build and that he likes "everything to work" lol. I lucked out finding this guy and as it turns out we have a bunch of mutual friends.

Wonderful to see the car done! So, QQ1 was a half-year color which means your car was built in june or earlier. That color POPS in the sun! MarPar, you, and I need to start the QQ1 club! Great job! Dad's very happy now.

looking great nice work
Thank you. My friend did the vast majority of the work. After i inherited the car I had no idea how I was going to find the time to put it all together. I was lucky my dad had almost all the parts. And I was even luckier getting introduced to the guy who finished it. He is very meticulous to put it mildly lol. We have mutual friends and he's lived in my small hometown since the 80's and somehow we had never met. I'm still pinching myself lol
