So I got my 73 charger with a 318 and I’m having issues separating the Transmisson and the motor they won’t come apart. I took out the middle mount bolt and loosened the two trans mounts and the only thing that is keeping it from coming out is the Long bars on each side how can I take it out o

Yep. Those four bolts removed from the flex plate/torque converter and then the transmission and engine should separate easily. Another way is to pull the tranny with the engine and separate them once they're out.

I would also get a service manual. Don't be too proud to not look something up in the manual. I've been working on cars a long time and still find myself referencing the manual from time to time.

I'm say this because hopefully you marked a torque convertor bolt hole because they aren't spaced evenly and its gonna help when you go to put things back together.

Good luck!
