I have a 64 Dodge 440. I lost one of my acorn wheel lugs for my front tire (drivers side ) so I ordered new ones to fit year and brand/model vehicle. Sounds like a simple fix. Of course it isn't, you know how that goes. Seems that the ones I ordered fit the passenger side wheels front and back but don't fit the drivers side front or back. I need a 3/4 wrench for the passenger side to put them on or off, but the drivers side front and back take a 13/16 wrench and the stud is bigger. You can't make up stuff like this. They both are left hand threads, any idea on how I could find a replacement acorn nut to fit.
Thanks for any help, John

The smaller side sounds like normal 1/2-20 studs. You have to determine what thread the studs are and order nuts to fit.

Yes, I was going to order a thread finder for nuts and bolts from Amazon but than realized I have a left hand thread. I am not sure how to determine what size stud I have.

A-bodys have 7/16-20, b-bodies have 1/2-20 studs. Pre 71-72 (seems like nobody knows for sure) had left hand threads on the left (drivers side, if not in UK/australia) side.
If it fits on pass side you got rt hand thread nuts.
Look at ALL your studs on the left side, they should have an L on the end of the stud, and be a different color.
Left hand nuts are hard to find. If you can find what you need, and the hex is different, just carry a star wrench.

33 IMP You are spot on! Just went out to look at it and the drivers side stud is marked with an L and the passenger side ( No L ) is a right hand thread. Wouldn't you know that the one that came off is the tough one to find.

SHow us a picture of the nuts. Something like this?

Yes, those are the rascals. I bought 20 from amazon, they all are right hand thread with 3/4 inch socket size. They fit the passenger side just perfectly. But what I need is a left hand acorn nut and all I know about the size is I need a 13/16 socket to remove them. if anyone needs a few of the right hand threads I will be happy to send them to you.

ToolManMike, you are the Man! Thank you so much. Looks like I might have some extra, if anyone needs one give me a shout.

Now I truly understand the saying ' The left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Hey, just makes life that much more interesting!

Or you can do what Chrysler did. Put all r/h studs on it and never have a problem again. Many people have stripped/broken lug nuts/studs on L/H thread cars.

I received the left hand acorn wheel lugs from Mega parts and they fit perfectly. Thanks so much for your help.
