Guy/Salvage Business bought all this stuff and took it back to Utah. Had to take tons of time and very expensive to move all of this stuff. Some rare 71-4 B-bodies. Anyone know the guy and the story behind it?

 
Gentlemans name was Larry I believe it was his lifetime collection.......I think Mopar muscle magazine did article on him awhile back ..,...and also Steve magnate did a junkyard crawl there also on YouTube..... I think he just felt it was time to let it go to someone who was going to do something with it...... I believe he did keep some of the rarer cars not shown in photos
 
Pretty kool, they need to take a Detour and stop by my place and load up....$
 
If you add up all the time to load, transport, unload, catalog everything & advertise it/bring it to flee markets, you will have works for 2 bucks an hour.
 
Those cars were pretty rough, there's some good parts in there though! Unfortunately, what it would take to restore those cars wouldn't be worth the investment. 440'

Agreed. Only a few are worth it.. IMO The '72 400 Road Runner, The '71 440 6 Pack Charger and the '72 440 4 speed Charger were the most valuable and restorable ones.. Maybe the 340 4 speed Rallye Charger...
 
I believe he only wanted to sell in large quantities

I think I looked into buying a 72 RR GTX B5 air grabber from that owner about 8 years ago.

That's better than doing it at a loss like so many others in the car hobby.

The B5 blue 440 4 speed Mr. Norms Charger R/T is one of only 332 built in 71.

My friend just bought this 72 Road Runner GTX. Although the air grabber hood didn't come with the car, it is an air grabber car. A previous owner has the original hood on his garage wall. My friend is trying to negotiate a deal to reunite the hood with the car.

some cool individual parts

some of the cars aren't that desirable

some are at best good for a few parts, cars

some of the parts are just junk, rusted junk

lots of flea market or swap meet crap,
low hanging fruit & lowballer stuff
all of it that was shown need serious attention & restorations

a couple could be cool projects

lots of rust
lots of junk
lost of scrap metal

I suppose they had to take it all

curious to see something out of 'that hoard'
actually restored & finished

he had said lots of NOS parts
I didn't see it

I'm sure he will make something of all of it
it sounds like he said 'it's going to a salvage yard'
in Utah
he had mentioned that 2 of the new owners
had RR verts

Like Mike Wolf (American Pickers) would say;
"it's all Rusty Gold"
one man's junk is another man's treasures

too bad that stuff wasn't from Calif or the southwest somewhere
