Can anybody tell me the difference between these two as far as dimensions or studs and how their configured? I'm looking at places like Classic Industries, Year One, supposed NOS on eBay and other repops that are available and even with part numbers it is confusing to know which is which especially how some are listed or if they are the same That is basically my question as I need some for the insert on my 71 Super Bee Hood. Appreciate any help

Challenger ones are not even close

Much much smaller in dimensions

I've never seen them side by side so I really can't remember how different they are to each other in terms of size. Thanks!

383 Magnum

70-71 Challenger about 5 3/4" Length 2 Pins

1971 Charger Hood about 10 1/2" Length 3 Pins

Appreciate it. Emblems were missing on my hood insert and holes filled in when I found it

I have 72 400 Magnum emblems I could measure for you.

Agree B body emblems are MUCH larger than those for an E body.

So the 72-74 emblems go on the metal bulge.

71 goes on the fiberglass center insert.
Not sure about 71 with N96.

Pretty sure that doesn't matter, though.

That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out just not a hundred percent sure

In 1971

Superbee standard hood - Had the fiberglass/plastic hood insert
The 340 Magnum / 383 Magnum / 440 Sixpack Emblems where inserted into three holes on each side of the fiberglass/plastic hood insert - All those emblems will have the three pins in the same location - I gave the length of the 1971 Charger 383 Magnum emblem

Charger R/T standard hood with louvered metal hood insert
440 Magnum / 440 Sixpack Emblems three holes drilled in the metal bulge of the hood on each side

426 Hemi came standard with the N96 Ram Charger Hood
That emblem was on the outside of the metal bulge also - Three holes drilled in the bulge of the hood on each side

All N96 Ram Charger hood emblems - Three holes drilled in the metal bulge of the hood on each side

So in a nutshell - If your 1971 Superbee had the standard hood with fiberglass/plastic hood insert Those emblems where inside on the fiberglass insert

Everything else was on the outside metal bulge

I forgot about the 27 - 1971 SuperBees with the 440 Magnum
Those emblems same location inside the fiberglass/plastic insert unless it had the N96 option

Got all that, thank you, so dimensionally the Magnum emblems that go on the metal bulge are the same as the ones in the insert

Now the next question

You said your Superbee fiberglass insert has the three holes covered over or filled in ?

And you want to know where to drill or how to locate your 383 Magnum emblems within that insert

I'll have to look again when I go home at lunch I'm pretty sure there are two holes that are filled in but not certain

Also, is there some sort of seal that seals the inserted a hood so the elements don't get in while driving or sitting outside?
