NEED HELP!! The shop working on my 69 Charger is CLOSING!!

as almost anyone, everyone else has already said;
"get it out of there now, don't wait"
get the car, all the parts, hardware, that you paid for etc.
home & in your possession 1st & foremost
worry about 'the finding another shop'
(or learn to do it/assemble it yourself) LATER

good luck
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

If the new owner is only interested in the high dollar/high turnover collision work, then the best place for your car and your money is NOT there.

Been there. Your car is a roller. Like everyone said get it and all your parts tomorrow if not sooner. be extremely careful nothing is left there. Look around as the smallest missing Mopar part is not cheap and may not even be an easy find.

I'm sorry, but no, not yet.

Get the car and parts out of there first, then piss and moan to them. Make sure your baby is safe and out of their hands, don't give them any excuse to withhold it. I hope you've contacted the Sheriff.

Talk to the previous owner to get to the bottom of the sale of the shop. Is the new owner responsible for projects on the premises at time of sale? Don’t rely on second hand info from possibly disgruntled employees. But I would keep my on the shop so your stuff doesn’t grow legs.
Best of luck.

Take lots of pictures before moving car and parts
I planned on it. I'm also gathering all of my old replaced parts as well. I will be making an inventory and getting all of my evidence in order. This is going to get ugly real soon.

I wouldn’t mention lawyers or legal action until car is home safely.

Who is in control of the shop at this moment? Original owners or the new owners? Just curious as to who you’ll be dealing with tomorrow.

What are you lawyering up over? Most of these shops are pay as you go. Like everyone else said, get the car and parts out first.

Other than cutting your project short and getting the car and parts out that are yours, I’m not clear on why there would be legal action.

I would be worried that the Friday closure led to a weekend clean out by the previous owner. I fear you may walk into the new owners shop and have to deal with someone who has no stake in the game, and getting your car out of there may be difficult proposition, if it’s even there. Certainly some of the parts may have already taken a walk, and I’m only saying this because of the shady Friday deal!

I may be wrong but from what i read on up the chain pappy has paid for work not yet completed.
I hope not because once a lawyer gets involved nobody gets any money except the lawyer.
I'm with everyone else as far as get the car and parts out asap.

I see, missed that part. You’re right about the lawyers.

I paid everything up complete

Such a beautiful car!! I'm heartbroken completely now after looking at my car. I'm so stressed my stoch is knotting up like a Heroin addict!!

Looks nice , gotta love a black mopar.
Will they help you load the engine and trans. Or do you have to bring your own cherry picker ?
Just get it all home, things will work out at least you still have your car and parts.
We have seen on here shops close and cars and parts never seen again.

The rest of that could almost be knocked out in a weekend. As above get everything home and thank your lucky stars.
