1966 Dodge Coronet Horn

Good Afternoon,,

Quick question, the horn on the steering wheel is very loose.. How do I take the horn portion off and tighten it? Any info will be appreciated it.

The horn ring comes off by rotating it counter clockwise.

I would disconnect your battery or at least the horns first.

You need to lift the horn ring about an inch at the 7 o'clock position to unlock the horn ring before turning it counter clockwise about 45 degrees.



This is what it looks like from the back side. Coronet is the top one, notice the lock tab at the 5 o'clock position in the center. 66 Satellite is the bottom horn ring and the lock is in the same position


Removed, the shiny spot along the edge if the ring shows where the lock tab has been rubbing when removing the horn rings from the wheel.
