I've never bumped into one face to face but I've seen them dead on the side of the highway. They're bigger than you think. I told the story last year of a woman in my neighborhood that heard her dog being attacked on the front porch. She thought she was shooing away a big dog but it was a mountain lion

An elderly friend I know was talking his trash out in Gold Canyon. As he started out his garage with the can, he looked up and one was taking a dump on his drive. He slowly backed into the garage and closed the door. That could have been disastrous.
 
Thanks for sharing. We do have a few mountain lions in our area along with an occasional bear sighting. Coyotes are a constant worry with our little dogs. We always check when letting them out into the fenced backyard.

I’ve only seen one bobcat and a few coyotes around here. I’m in a very populated area.
