Hello,
I'm from New Mexico and have no grudge against one of our cities.

If you value your vintage auto or other belongs, you're risking theft if you stay at a local motel overnight.

For years now, I've heard of vehicles, trailers, box trucks, race cars, etc being stolen from motels and it appears that it is nowhere under control. I don't even know if the local motel association cares. This happens at high end motels also.

My wife and I went to the Zia Marching Band Fiesta(Albuquerque) last night and discovered that our marching bands instrument truck had been stolen from a local hotel! Pissed me off, but nothing new.

Visit Albuquerque, just don't stay overnight in a motel unless you plan on sleeping in your car "packing heat"!

THAT SUCKS!!! Hope they had insurance. Hey youngsters, THIS happens more then you want to believe, welcome to reality of "non reality tv"!! It sucks, but YOU will survive, not end of wourld, dust that NM dust off, pull your boots up and carry-on and win some competitions!! Yes "heat"

Fortunately, the truck was found with instrument.
Drug trade fuels this in addition living where two interstates (I-25 & I-40) cross
As stated before, don't look for a fix this has been going on for decades

Good!! Now to get the youngsters to "carry-on" and not dwell on it and realize this is "REAL"

Had my truck and trailer broken into after a Monster Mopar event in St. Louis.
Busted up my truck and stole everything that wasn't bolted down in the trailer.
Thank goodness the did not damage the car in the trailer.

I live in Albuquerque and the crime here has gotten stupid. We had a guy recently that was arrested for 16 felonies in 1 month!!! The cops are doing their job arresting them but the judges here just let them out the next day. Election coming up and I will not vote to keep any judge.

This is what happens when "soft on crime" funded District Attorneys and judges are elected.
That is not an exaggeration. It is truth and it is by their design.
Look at who donates to the campaigns of these people and it will be abundantly clear.

It's not just Mew Mexico. I had a friend that lost his trailer along with 2 Harleys in Daytona during Bike Week. They were parked in a high end hotel parking lot, woke up and their trailer was gone. The thief cut the trailer lock off, disconnected it from his truck and disappeared.

same party that "helps the little guy" ........ but the "little guy" is now the criminals

sounds like time for the old fashion vigalanty committee meeting , worked then works now cops dont want to confront them in the dark .

Thieves go to the high end motels to steal, not the dumps. Think about it.
My place back in rural Mo.had a fence, a gate, it was 20 mi. from that small town. The sign on gate said "ammo is NOT cheap, do not expect a warning shot."
The sherriff's take was IF you have to shot a thief, use your tractor and bucket loader, a lime sink hole, and don't all him.

I lived in Albq for a number of years. Theft/
vandalism seemed to get worse the longer
we were there. I had all kinds of stuff stolen.
Batteries, wheels/tires, 2 Jeep tops, a
Mustang 5.0 convertible. It's a rough city to
live in with the amount of theft and drugs.
I reported the car theft to the popo and they
flat out stated they wouldn't be looking for it,
and to just report the loss to my insurance co.

Problem is if you do anything to protect your property you worked for, you will be the one going to jail.

Nowdays it is racist to not allow thieves free shopping.

I’d say the theif did not value their Life more than what they are stealing.

Let’s go Brandon!

Yup Albuquerque really has gone to **** unfortunately and getting worse by the day seems like
No one accountable for nothing people just roam around the city doing crime all day mainly to feed their habit
Which helps contribute to all the other Garbage that happens here

You should be OK, as long as you don't forget to make that left turn.

Or go to CucaMONga...
The reason trailers with Harleys in them get stolen is thats the only way you can get anywhere with them.

I left that crap hole in 1998. It was bad then and worse now. Next to marrying my wife, that was the best decision I’ve made.
