Well here it is , Iowa , 40s and rain winter will be here soon.
Most of is living in the north half make plans each year for some repairs or upgrades to our cars.
I have to admit to not doing any last winter outside of a carb swap. This winter I will do a front disc conversion on my 67 since it's time for a brake system rebuild drums , hoses , ect. So if I was ever going to pick a good time to convert it is now.
The other project is getting my power steering sector sealed up. Lol.
So what projects or repairs are the rest of you planning ?

I do have hopes of getting started on finishing this one.
Only been 6 years since I got it painted. I did clean the V8 K frame for it 2 days ago..That's a start.

Well you got the same crappy weather today as I'm seeing out the shop window. With my 69 Coronet I plan to replace entire Hurst shifter, linkages, handle with a full kit I ordered from the "Shifter Doc" 4 months ago.....we all know the story on back orders and unavailable parts. Hope to get it this winter sometime, hate that I will not be able to test drive right away but thats how it goes, no biggie. Later in winter I plan to replace or rebuild the 727 tranny in my 68 GTX , she slips a little bit going into drive. Thinking about a manual valve body this time....verdict is still out on that. Every year about this time I start making lists of **** to do so I don't go bat **** crazy being locked up inside all winter!

Gonna pull out the steering column and do a rebuild and new steering wheel....

The List is Long, but the Enthusiasm is Fading...

Finishing my 5.9 magnum, EQ head build. Remove my LA 360 from the bottom, reinforce the K member and detail engine compartment then in goes the Magnum. Should be +80HP and +100TQ.

Well as long as the sun shines I will drive it. I am going to Florida over Thanksgiving. Once I get back I have a list.
Rebuild or replace the rear leaf springs and put new center section with 3.23.
I would like to pull the 727 and fix some leaks.
Front sway bar
I would like to update the wheels and tires 15” or 17”, but not sure what wheels to go with.
The list is long

Lots of projects...69 charger the 850 holley needs a kit and I bought a carpet, headliner and front seat covers, but mice are getting in somewhere. I'd be ticked if they ruined it again. We stuck a 383 in our 65 dart last winter, but progress stopped.. but I think we are going to move the 383 over to a 69 superbee project. The dart would get minitubs and custom header, 6 point bar and a 440 we have out of our drag car. The dart is probably a insane plan. 72 charger our neighbor bought new...we plan to drop a 440 in soon with a few cosmetic repairs and drive it. Our 72 satellite we almost have our 542 b ready and a repaint..my brother and I are going to be busy this winter.

Got to replace the oil pan gaskets on the red Charger along with the transmission pan gasket.

Winter in southern Az IS car season.

No plans ....other than gas.....and more gas.

Curiousyellow71, Just watched a You Tube Video on mice. They hate the smell of peppermint oil.
Soak some cotton balls place in plastic trays and place in trunk, interior, and underhood when parking for periods of time.
You can do it in the home and garage too.
I used to use moth balls in and under my RV but the peppermint smell is much better.

For my '70 Charger, I'll be installing a new engine harness and a new a/c harness (both patched by the PO with freakin' wire nuts...), and swapping the exhaust from Uncle Clem's Special with crappy welds and dronemasters, for a full manifold-back TTI system with Super Turbos. Might do a front disc swap, but that depends on funds and if I can find some decent Magnum 500 15's to take the place of the steelie factory 14s and wheelcovers...

For my '72 Satellite wagon, I'll install the new fuel tank, sort or swap the carb (a ganked up Holley - may very well get swapped for an Edelbrock AVS), install the line-loc and bleed the brakes...but before I install the tank, I need to get a bung welded on the lower rear corner (suitcase tank in a wagon, lives in the rear quarter panel) for EFI pickup, for slosh. Plan is (not this winter) to install a Gen III hemi I have on a pallet....eventually....
