Not sure if this is a suspension issue or exhaust issue. 1967 Coronet 4dr, 383 automatic. I changed out the front torsion bars to a road racing set and rear leafs to "HD" from Mancini's in '97. Car sat on suspension parked from '98 until last June. I've got deep transmission pan and TTI headers. Front is set at factory measurement per FM. Issue is entering and exiting some driveways that have a hump in the middle, I drag the exhaust and pan. I don't remember ever dragging anything before I did the exhaust n trans mods. Do others have this problem? Am I stuck with it as I can only raise the front so much. Tire diameter is 26.5" which is the same as my factory spec tires were. Thanks for any suggestions.

I put a 2-1/2" TTI dual exhaust system on my 64 Plymouth a few years ago. Ever since, I have a problem area in my long driveway with a high center hump. The pipes are bigger than stock, and hang a bit lower. (And my car has a B engine, which is a tad lower at the manifolds than an RB.) The pipes will drag at that area of the drive. I have learned to be very slow and careful in that area, and ride toward the side of the driveway to avoid centering over the hump.

Thanks, I've got the 3" exhaust. I go extremely slow, but yes, get rubbing/grinding. I guess it's something I'll have to live with.

There are always trade offs with these “upgrades”
