Looking for this part the Lean Burn System someone took off mine and didn't realize when I bought the car. I have a 1978 Monaco with a 318 engine.

There's no emissions testing in florida.
Run it as is? If not? I have a old dodge parts truck that has a lean burn 318 that was transplanted into it. Was a slant 6 truck. You can have it. I'm in Ocala Fl.. Is it year specific? Is there a part # on it. Let me know. If I don't respond immediately, it's because I sometimes can't get on this site from time to time for some weird reason.?

This has got to be the first post ever in the history of mopars that somebody is looking for a lean burn system part and not advice on how to run without it.....just saying

I agree! My 78 magnum 400 had its lean burn system removed by the previous owner. It runs good. Besides I saw the exhaust manifolds glow orange hot on these lean burn engines . SCARY HOT!

Lean Burn actually works well.....if it is working.

You'll need a new distributor and ECU plus wiring to remove it.

That statement could not be more accurate. And the key phrase "if it is working" . It's a crap shoot, a common occurrence back in the day we would have to fix. I'd swap out that LB for the electronic conversion kit.

Interesting-

My last 2 posts disappeared.

On this thread I was saying how the OP would need a new distributor and an ignition module to eliminate the lean burn....

I am pretty sure it will work for my car. Are you coming to the turkey rod run by chance?

Hey guys, thanks for the help and info. How do I go about a new distributor to by pass this? I don't have spark so thinking it was this piece as I have gone through everything else and really want to get it off my trailer and hear it run. Thanks!

My '77 Newport 400 Thermoquad had LB. The only problem I had was I got about 9 MPG. Could've been that I had my foot into the sweet sounding secondaries all the time! I swear to you they must've been 2500 CFM alone! Still have the LB air cleaner unit and the distributor.

I'd like to go to the rod run. But I doubt it. I'll definitely be at garlits and the Florida Mopar association show and swap meet.this and the following weekend.

If you don't have spark its usually a bad coil or wires
