This is a picture of the front seatbelt mount. What if anything is supposed
to be covering the belt where it mounts at the floor. Some photos I've seen
show a plastic sleeve or in some cases a retractor. If anybody has a picture
of the cover I'd appreciate seeing it. If it matters this was basically a no option
4 door. I installed new carpet a few months ago and it appeared that the
original carpet had never been out of the car. Can't say if the belts had been.
Thanks
Dave

No retractors or sleeves on a '66 B as far as Ive seen (two door hardtop). 67 either.

They were an option, my 66 Satellite has them. you can see belt in it's on top of sleeve.

My 64 Fury has the plastic sleeves and retractors. The way the sleeve is shaped, I believe the sleeve and retractors were installed together. Maybe it was an option.

@gtx6970 This is a Satellite as well, not a Belvy, correct??

@Big Bad Dad My '64 Belvy has this exact setup as well.

Thanks for the feedback, it's sounding like if they were there it would have
been an option. Were these things shown on the fender tag or only
the mechanical stuff?

Seat belts on fender tag don't think so? On build sheet look at seat belts 55 with 6 in the box standard seat belts. Next box deluxe seat belts front and rear 55 and 7 in the box. If you look at my window sticker you'll see 557 and seat belts retractors frt and rear. If you have a build sheet check there.

Retractor would be on the outboard side if optioned.

Inboard side should have (IIRC) a hard-ish rubber boot with a slot for the belt.
IIRC it clips/snaps over the flat bottom portion.

Mine has nothing on inside by console. I'm the 3rd owner and 2nd didn't do anything but F-up. Maybe factory missed them on my car? Do you have pictures?

Neither have my 66 & 67 - just the belt bracket bolted through the carpet to the floor on the transmission tunnel.

Same here, Fran. My interior is 100% unmolested original.

Hmm.

Next time I'm at the shop I'll check both the unmolested 67's I have.

They are bench seat cars, though.
