Good eye on the tow tabs bar ha ha !!! Pretty tuff looking ride. What do you think is in it for power?

Just a guess, but judging by the shape of the headers, and the hood scoop, i would say an original maxwedge car. A 64 could be a hemi, too.

I have been building old Mopars since the 80's and I admit I have never put any in the restoration threads here or on FABO. I just was never real good at taking a bunch of picture as I work. Her is my '64 Savoy project. It had been sitting since 85. I build the same animal back in the mid 90's, a 3 on tree slant Savoy that got a 440 and 4 speed. It found a new home like they all eventually did. It was one that had no real pedigree but one that I missed the most!
Here it is with body/paint work I just finished, new SmittyBuilt A100 style seats, some new windlace. Originally a WW1 white with red interior car. Needs the K changed out a big block of some nature, along with the 4 speed.
I have the f and R seat frames but, I am going with the SS theme, buckets and rear seat delete, probably a low hemi or MW scoop. A fun car. I have done the perfect 100 point stuff too much and I find I rather make a good driver and than perfect show car!
I admit at 73 working on these is getting harder all the time. I havn't took the time to do the bonded Tx. title thing, guess I am afraid someone will want it!!

I am part of the 63 family now. Picked up this 63 Belvedere from a buddy of mine. Nothing fancy but is a original stick shift car. To be max wedge tribute someday.

If you haven't gotten a title, you need to do that first, before you spend many hours, and dollars on a car you can't use.

Over the last 30 years I have bought many cars without titles. No problem. I have no concerns.

Here’s my recently purchased 62 Plymouth Belvedere 2 door sedan. I had it painted last summer and just got her all back together. I had bumpers re-chromed and I de-dinged and polished all the stainless myself. Was very rewarding. Found a nice grill and other needed parts on eBay. It was originally a red body/ermine white top, Royal Tartan interior car. I’d call it “Scotch red/black plaid.” From what I have been told, not too many of these were made…my highly 62 Plymouth educated friend said they were made mid-year perhaps for a spring special. Anyways, interior was replaced prior to me owning it. They used non-original inserts on seats but what look to be correct vinyl patterns. I hope to get original seat material from SMS and get the seats redone back to original over the winter. Has 318 with standard transmission “three on tree”…Fun car to drive. Top two photos are the latest right after I found some nice 15” American Racing wheels with 235/70-15 black walls on CL. Really set it off nicely.
Nice! Not a ton of those early cars around. Carpet samples? Second one from the left. LOL

I would do the carpet in that darker maroon. The interior are always different shades.

I originally thought my 62 Dart with red interior and white hardboard headliner, came with red carpet.
Posted it here and someone pointed out it came with black carpet, they included pics of the codes/colors too.
Glad they did, I was just about to order new carpet, after some thought, I got the black and am very pleased.

I have a 64 Savoy white, red interior. I also found that mine came with black carpet. Probably will do that but I am really thinking of the dark maroon carpet! Probably will sell it before
carpet anyway!
