I have two different "dark argent" paints, but one is a bit darker than the other. I took a bunch of pictures and finally settled on the one that looks most true-to-life on the computer screen...My car is not an OE build by any means but since I have two colors I'd rather use the one that's closer to the OE shade...It's hard to judge compared to the many pictures I've seen online, but I'm thinking the darker one? Thanks!

I redid did a friends 68 RR grille for him. His research showed it had dark argent paint on the inner rectangle areas

If it was Me spray with the lite see if you like it. If not spray with the dark, no need to strip the lite. Take some pics my 68 needs a refresh. I might even do the behind the grill black out. Nah F that.

Thanks guys. The trouble is both paints I have are labled as the "correct" dark argent, but they're clearly different.
Hoping someone that knows the OEM color can help determine which of those two in the pic looks more like the factory shade. The lighter one on the right actually shows a tad bit darker in person, but it"s still noticeably lighter than the one on the left.

I don't know if 68 and 69 are different. Went though the same thing this summer on my 69. I tried 7 or 8 different colors and this is the closest color that I could find.

the paint we received from them was actually dark then their website picture shows. I believe the flash from the camera makes it look more lighter color then it is. If you look at the bottom of their pictures you will see the dark color of the paint. grill piant.jpg

Well that's interesting....seems like they might have some inconsistency issues
Thanks for the feedback.

I like that paint, and their DE1615 Aluminum for intake manifolds. The Aluminum is just slightly brighter than the Cast Coat Aluminum.

we ordered paint from Frank Baldson to for the grill and compared the two dark argent colors from the companies and they were both about the same dark argent color when we did a test sprayed.

Came out looking good. Thanks for all your input guys!
