Hello, please let me know where the VIN stamp locations are on a 68 Plymouth Satellite. I’m bringing an out of state vehicle into California and they require 2 visible VINs. I have the one on the driver side dash. In the past I’ve seen them on the radiator support. Are there other locations. Thank everyone in advance for any assistance.

If I’ve posted this in the wrong location please just let me know and I’ll put it in the correct area.

Radiator support and under the driver's side trunk weather strip. It's about halfway down on the rail
under the weather strip. if you look up from inside the trunk or use a mirror you can see it. Good luck!

California is a liberal pos dump state.there so strict with everything.it shouldnt matter as along as title matches the factory vin.if the radiator support got replaced it got into a wreck then what.there liberal idiots

For model year 1968, there are few possibilities of a VIN stamp. The VIN is not stamped on the body like 69 and later cars.

1) The VIN plate on the dash.
2) Possibly stamped on the back of the engine near the oil sending unit.
a. An automatic transmission may have the VIN on the transmission bellhousing opposite of the engine stamping.
b. A manual transmission may have the VIN stamped oil the passenger's side of the tranny.

Tell them to read a book. as posted, there is only one place on the body, but you could have the last eight digits on the engine driver side left of oil sending unit on outer lip, if the car has the original engine, and it was put there.depending on when it was built

This is a potential sticking point for pre-1969 cars in states that require 2 VIN locations.

If a notary is the only requirement, you can shop around for someone who understands the situation (perhaps after you carefully and patiently explain it to them).

If a LEO is required, be very careful. Some are cool but don't understand, some understand, and some are not cool.
You don't want them documenting that your car is unable to be titles.

Here’s the VON that matches the fender tag on my St. Louis built2 door ‘68 Satellite. I parted a Sport Satellite, and still have a 4 door and a wagon. They are all Lynch Rd. and none of them have the rad support stamp.

I don't believe that is so. I know it probably says that in some DMV book but the last out of state vehicle I registered here only had the normal VIN tag in it's normal location, that satisfied the inspector. I believe they only get into looking at other locations if something is wrong with the normal tag.
Plus Auto Club offers this service and I would go there before any DMV office

Not everyone in Calif matches your biased opinion. I for one do not appreciate this kind of stupidity.
