So, who has the Christmas tree up already?

We put our's up last weekend also. Decorated the inside as well as outside. It's a whole day's work. We did it because we had the day. Plus the wife has Family coming from Washington State. We usually decorate on Thanksgiving day.

Nope never this early

Sometime after Thanksgiving, a week or so maybe
at least be December at a min.
It's a kids go & travel this year
so they'll mostly all be at their inlaws & spouses families

I have a lil' tree, been in my family for 50+ years
I put up in off years

Just me & my dad,
& dad will be down at my Aunts house, a few days
at his older sisters', she really goes all out at Christmas
all the lil' manger trinkets, hand-carved stuff, my Uncle did (RIP)
a bunch of figurines, miniatures & lots of family heirlooms
& a $1,000+ decorated tree (donations), from her churches charity
it's usually like a 9'-er, really opulent

(I'm a tad more frugal)

I'll be staying here & visit my cousin's place, up country
be nice & quiet
Probably spend time at my neighbors too (they have young kids)
he does a blowout tree too

A bunch of my family gets together after Christmas too
around New Years usually,
Christmas is so hectic time with the young families

it's a lil' tree, but it helps get into the "festive mood"

(They came with the farm free ) is next to the Christmas Tree

There’s a series of three prints - I have all three

The first print - (They came with the farm ) is rare as hell and sold out many moons ago
The second print - (They came with the farm too )

You can find the last two thru the markets still for a decent price
I think I paid around $200 per print years ago - Framing was done at Hobby Lobby

I have yet to see the very first one for sale honestly

Peace

They are awesome. Thanks for sharing!

Christmas tree will not be going up until after Turkey Day.
Has never happened - and won't happen - in this house.

December 1st. No earlier!!! And it all comes down before NYE.

I've seen that photo before - it was a halloween gag someone put up, with a stuffed set of clothes. Just a dummy.

Funny as hell, I think!

Wife put ours up yesterday. Most of the time it is Thanksgiving evening

I thought sure there was a federal mandate, or state statute, or at least county ordinance that you could not play Christmas music, wear Christmas sweaters, or hang Christmas lights (OK, I think you can hang them, but you can't legally turn them on) until the day after thanksgiving.

We used to have a small, ceramic tree (5" IIRC) that sat on the mantle all year long.
After thanksgiving, we would pull it out to the front edge and smile at it.
In January, we would push it back and wait until next year.
I believe one of our cats may have broken it last year.

Three weeks ago (as if Murphy was well aware of the timing), I found a 16" fake tree in my dumpster.
Not quite a "Charlie Brown", but in the same spirit.
Much more full, but uneven, and borderline mangled.
It's now assumed it's place- sitting on a speaker, near the mantle, in the same condition I found it.

Hell NO! Waiting for snow so we can do a sleigh ride out to cut it down. Last few years we had to walk, last year I waited till the 23rd only 4" so no sleigh. But Santa came early for me uhh I mean the family this year.

Santa also dropped off this vintage golf game. Didn't think it would work on the new TV. Just gotta hide the cord now.

Got ours up day after Thanksgiving just like every year.
