I've looked around and found that it looks like people did this differently? Here is a pic from Moshers site. I have all the button delete stuff but need to figure out what to do where the hole for the knob is.

Perhaps one of those snap-in plugs used for extra electrical knock-out plug holes?

My bomber is just for fun car. I didn't do anything other than a bolt in the hole.
You got me thinking. Find a stainless steel body washer that fits inside the recess with a stainless carriage bolt to mount.
All smooth and shinny.

I have a factory lighter delete plug from a 68 Plymouth Valiant painted the same color of the dash it was in.
Hole for the blower switch would have to be enlarged.

I've seen on a bunch of cars there is what looks like a sticker. Kinda like a bullseye. with a small plug in the actual hole. I've been in Moshers shop a bunch and they do their 63 plymouths this way. Thanks for the responses.

Here's what I did on my 65 Belvedere Race Car. It looks like a factory piece and was very inexpensive to make. In the first pic, ou can see what the dash switch holes look like. Difficult to get a simple cap plug to cover that. I didn't fee like grinding and welding so I came up with the round cover you see to the far left over the emergenc brake release hole and also on the far right, barely visible, is the the same thing over the blower switch hole. This cover bolts on from the back.

I did something similar to badvert65 but I painted the cover to match the dash.
Not a good picture but you can see the painted cover.

I will have to go to the shop tomorrow and get some pics of the process. It essentially cost less than $3 each and relatively easy to do.

Another is kitchen cabinet hardware. Lots of different styles. Used some when I was doing Harleys.

My car only has the headlight switch and the brake release in the metal, lower dash.

Looks like a cover I have used for many years as a plumber to cover the extra hole in a kitchen sink when there is no spray for the faucet.
Called a cock hole cover

I looked at those but the diameter the ones I found was too large for my liking. So I modified a drawer handle. It installs just like the sink hole cover.

The correct term really is "cock hole cover".

So, for anyone still interested, here is the hole I am trying to delete. Just curious if anyone has done this. I did a bad job of holding the tape straight over the hole but it is 3/8". Thanks for any help guys.

Use a center button from a spare dash gauge.

Use one of the center buttons from the gauge panel, like the center of the speedo.
