I may be an underachiever

I decode: 383 4 speed power windows 2W radio rr1, black interior, and sure grip. Ordered that way, I was told by a lady school teacher. What a gal! I guess I'll be hunting for some parts. I crawled all around underneath and it still has paint and undercoating with no holes

She got a little warm under the hood!
Good find, that's interesting someone decided to move the heater hose support bracket.

Nice find! All glass, sheet metal, engine & running gear! Not a bad beginning and it looks too good to have been derby'd.

Glad you're saving it!

A restoration guy told me they used a special metallic paint on the dash panel and it's electrified. When the dash lights are turned on, the whole panel glows!

That's cool as sh_t!

Front seat covers are rough, back seats were closed and are fine. Console is there and without pits. Dash pad has cracks. Don't know how far melting wires went into the dash. Is the firewall actually a firewall? Air cleaner, fan, radiator and a LH Coronet fender are inside. 86,000 on the odometer.

Ultra rare CHROME MASTER CYLINDER CAP! Makes it a one of one... or one of something anyway

Not a good derby candidate. Better choices are full size Chryslers, or the big Mopar station wagons, fuel can in the back seat, tunnel cut to use a simple rod through the floor to shift from D to R. BB's do run a long time with no coolant too.

Love it! Looks like a nice place to start. My first b-body back in ‘84 was a ‘67 Charger. I remember that dash at night, so cool.

Double your investment with purchase of a nice taillight assembly!

Nice car it will be awesome when you get it done... We will never see cars like that again! Now is the time! We also need to get the kiddos interest in them to grow so we leave they will live on.

while that body shape would probably do well in a derby, I was making a joke about the first impression of the car's rear end.
Looking at engine kits, I think I will be going with a stroker. It will look original and not cost that much more that a proper job of rebuilding 100% original.
The shifter boot is shot and made me wonder how does a guy get a new one over those two reverse ears?
