Can you use a steering box from a 72 charger in a 73 charger? Is only difference pitman arm size? Or does it matter because the suspension went iso in 73. I was asking because I found a killer deal on a 72 dodge charger borgenson steering box.

Pitman is the only difference between 72 and 73.

The steering boxes of almost all Mopars are the same between A, B, C, F and R bodies are the same. It’s the pitman arms that vary along with the output shaft diameter.

I have a modern Jeep psb in my El Camino. It's an exact fit and tightened up the steering. Who knows what you can do until you try.

1 1/8" sector shafts were used from 1962 to 1972. 1 1/4" sector shafts were used from 1973 to at least 1979. This goes for A, B and E Bodies. I think C-Bodies always used the larger size shaft.

I know the sector shaft changes. That's why I was curious if this could be used with a 72 pitman arm in a 76 car

Sometimes you don't know what fits until you try it for yourself. I have stumbled upon a few things just by experimenting.
You think people like Columbus would have asked people in the village for advice on sailing across the ocean?

True, but I also. Don't have money to waste if it don't work. I'll just wait till borgenson opens Monday and call them
